Hey yall! Just a few things about me and my goals for this blog!

I chose the name Miscellaneous Chaffin because I will be posting all kinds of things! The name is also word play because I have been in the world of childcare since 2005, so Miscellaneous Chaffin to Misc Chaffin to Ms. Chaffin!

The main categories will be my health journey, neurodiversity, crafts, my amateur photography, aunt life, travel, dress up days, and cosplay! Other topics probably will be covered, but those are the main ones!

I am very socially awkward as you will see in videos that I am in, so be warned!

I live in North Texas, am a 90s baby, love cats, obsessed with Nancy Drew, and collector of random things!

The idea of a blog has always appealed to me, but I never pursued it. A certain up and coming country artist that openly talks about mental health and his journey gave me the push to get the ideas for the blog going. Some health news I received early August this year (2024), gave me the final push to go through with creating Miscellaneous Chaffin. I go into more detail with this health issue in my first post, but if I ever need to get a transplant, I need to lose weight. This is my way of keeping myself accountable and to share with everyone how I’m doing things.

I didn’t want the blog and socials to be just that. I post quite a lot on one of my personal socials and sometimes those posts are long! Why not share what I’m passionate about or fun craft ideas with everyone?!
